Big Fat Liar!

A month ago I promised lots of posts about all sorts of things and now I am a liar because I haven't done any of that!  I unfortunately have been really bust with normal work and family stuff that I have not had a lot of time to do fun crafty things:(  But I have done a couple and I have also done some traveling.

So here is the Hodge Podge of things that have conspired over the past month!

I went to Florida State for my Phi Mu Sorority Reunion for a weekend and had a blast!

This is a Flea Circus... I should have done a tutorial on how to make one since we got a flea infestation and boy is that a nightmare to deal with... Especially if you are allergic to them!!

I painted this sign for my uncles newly renovated beach house... more pics of that to come!

Helped my 6 year old godson with a school project.  He had to make a 3D sea creature.  So we picked an angler fish and made it out of paper mache and it even had a light.

Went to the beach with my cousins and Isa made this cute little mermaid!

And last but not least we flew into Houston to see friends and family and drove all the way back to Tampa.

Whats coming up?  July 1st I will be travelling to Cuba for 12 days with my church to do mission work.  I am super duper excited about it and can't wait to share my experience there with you all.

These boots were made for walkin!

I saw these lane boots at Keys Country, a local boutique nearby with really fabulous stuff!

I absolutely adore the turquoise soles!

These are my boots

I wear the crap out of these things and I love them to death...

So I figured with  a little turquoise paint, a little bit of gold, and some antiquing glaze I could get a similar look Like the lane boots.

Oh ya!! Looks good enough for me!!!  I put a coat of polycrylic on and hopefully that will keep the paint from rubbing completely off:)

I'll keep y'all posted!

Intoxicating scents at Anthropologie

So as we all know mother's day is coming up and so I popped into Anthropologie for some quick and thoughtful gifts.   Any time I am not sure what to get someone or I need a handful of unique gifts Anthropologie always has the perfect thing!

I came across quite a few products that were to die for and would make lovely gifts.

The first product was hand and body lotion from Blithe and Bonny in Honey Almond.  I bought 4 of them!  This stuff not only feels great, it has the best scent.  I rubbed it all over my hands and arms right there in the middle of the store!

At only $16 a bottle it makes a great gift and comes in a fun box too!  Get it HERE
They also have Lavender and Pink Grapefruit scents.

I also came across the Illume Boulangerie jar candle.
I bought one of these too since my aunt has skin allergies in Cape Apricot.

It has such a wonderfully fresh and rich smell and it's also only $16.  Get it HERE
I also loved the Apple Blossom Scent and they have some others

I really wanted to buy this one for myself but since I was already buying a top, and a tube of that BB lotion was for me too, I thought I would show some restraint. (imagine that!) but I really love this Capri African Jasmine Candle, $28.  Get it HERE

So many more but thats all for today!
